Growing up on a farm with her parents in Astras Okkoi lived a fairly normal peasant life up until the age of ten. Not long after her brother Serron's first birthday the farmstead was raided by bandits.

In the ensuing chaos Okkoi was separated from her family and soon found herself wandering aimlessly down a road only to be discovered by a trader passing by.

The distraught and tearful Okkoi was quick to trust the trader, who offered to help her find a home. His word however was unscrupulous, he sold her into servitude to a Turaian crime lord who had a penchant for keeping exotic animals, most notably Turaian Panthers.

For her teenage years Okkoi worked for the crime lord as a maid and often spent her time with the Panthers; whose strong family bond reminded her of the family she lost.

The years past and before he 22nd birthday fate smiled upon her. The crime lord she worked for had made some bad deals with the other rival crime bosses in Turai and it wasn't long before a war broke out between them. During one such attack on the crime lord's manor Okkoi saw her chance and escape into the nearby port town of Kunar Sha'lari, but she was being followed...

It was not long before she realised one of the Panther cubs had followed her from the manor and with no one else to confide in she kept the cub, naming him Serron in honour of the younger brother she never knew.

In the decade that followed Okkoi traveled Théone looking for work where she was able including working with pirates, thieves, smugglers and mercenaries. Eventually she settled with the Brotherhood of Crows mercenary guild in Astras. It is here her and Serron finally found somewhere to call home and eventually she became a squad leader of the guild.

It is here with the Brotherhood of Crows she met Carge Dawnstrider, a mysterious young Théoneon who showed great ability in combat. She took Carge under her wing and what at first seemed like a romantic relationship developing became something must more powerful after Carge's apparent death four months later during a mission to steal an idol from a dock warehouse.

Mourning over the loss of Carge Okkoi began to realise why he meant so much to her. He was the same age her brother Serron would be if he was still alive and the feelings she felt for him were as if he was her younger brother.

Several months passed and Okkoi and Serron are in Kunar Oreth'ani, a large port town in southern Astras, taking some time away from the affairs of the guild.

Much to her surprise Serron darted down the boardwalk and into an inn. Rushing to keep up with him, she discovers Carge, alive and well, eating with two others.

Both shocked to see each other, Okkoi learns that Carge had disguised himself the the dock's officer to pass into the warehouse with ease when two pirate crews attacked. He was mistaken for the real officer and abducted winding up in Turai a week later and had spent the past several months trying to get back to Astras.

Happy her surrogate brother was back in her life again Okkoi spends her time working at the guild, if she's not drinking heavily or shopping of course.
